Google Reviews Widget: Number of reviews displayed does not match Google reviews

    Hello,

    I have a Google reviews widget. The number of reviews displayed by widget no longer correlates to the number of reviews within Google.

    Can you help please.

    Hello,

    Google shows the number of reviews as 225, whereas the widget displays 223; a discrepancy of 2.

    I checked your Google Business Profile using the Google Reviews widget, and I can see the actual reviews showing correctly on my end. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:

    Hello,
    Since I implemented your suggestion, the number of Google reviews has
    increased, but the widget is showing the value at the time of widget
    creation. It seems that widget is not polling Google to get the correct
    value.
    Widget shows 225
    Google shows 226
    It seems there is a bug in the widget.

    Hi Paul,

    Can you try clearing your website cache first and then check the widget again? If the count still does not update, try removing the widget code from your website and adding it again. After that, refresh the page and see if the review count matches Google.

    Hello,

    About clearing my website cache. My website does not have a cache. I am not sure what you mean. Please elaborate.

    I removed and re-added the widget to my website. However, the widget still shows the incorrect review count. When I view the widget in Jotform, it shows the incorrect review count. So, the issue appears to be with the widget in Jotform, and not related to the website's use of the widget.

    This looks like a bug with the widget. The widget uses the review count at the time of widget creation, and does not keep up with the review count in Google as it changes with time.

    I created a ticket and escalated this to our Developers. Although we don't know exactly when it'll be fixed, we’ll circle back to this thread when we have an update.

    Hello. I notice your widget is still reporting the number of reviews at time of widget creation, rather than at of time invocation. This problem exists across all templates.
