I'm a bit confused about the sentbox feature.
If i am sharing our app/form using a public QR code (i.e. no assignees at this time),
are the users (submitters of the form who do not and will not have a jotform account) able to access their sentbox or previous submissions in the app?
Next question, do assignees to a form have to have a jotform account? Are assignees people who can review submissions or are assignees non-jotform account holders who are submitting the form? -

Hi Brissman,
Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Let me clarify your questions about assignees, users, and the Sentbox feature in Jotform. If you share your form using a public QR code without assigning assignees, the users who submit the form (submitters without Jotform accounts) cannot access a Sentbox or view their previous submissions in the app. The Sentbox feature is designed primarily for assignees who have Jotform accounts.
Regarding assignees:
- Assignees must have a Jotform account. They need to log in to their account to submit assigned forms and link submissions under their account.
- Assignees are typically people who review, manage, and track submissions for the assigned forms. They can also submit forms on behalf of others if assigned.
- Through the Sentbox, assignees can view, edit (if permitted), download, print, and manage submissions linked to them.
To summarize:
- Users submitting via public QR code without accounts cannot access a Sentbox or previous submissions.
- Assignees are Jotform account holders assigned to forms to submit or manage submissions.
If you want assignees to access forms and submissions, you need to assign them via email or direct link, and they must log in to their Jotform accounts.
