How to Embed a Form on a Web Page

July 6, 2025

Jotform makes it easy to embed your form exactly where you want it—no advanced technical skills needed. One of the simplest ways to do it is using the JavaScript embed method. The method works by loading a small script that displays your form directly on your web page. It’s widely supported and works well with most websites and content management systems.

What’s great is that your form’s layout, colors, and spacing are all managed in Form Builder, and any updates you make will automatically be reflected in the embedded form—keeping everything consistent without extra work on your end.

You can copy your form’s JavaScript embed code in just a few steps. Here’s how to do it:

  1. On your My Workspace page, click on Type at the top and in the Dropdown menu that opens, uncheck the boxes next to all the assets except Forms, so only they’ll be shown on the page.

  1. Hover your mouse over the form you want to get the embed code for, and click on Edit Form on the right side of the page.

  1. Now, in Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
  2. Then, click on Embed in the menu on the left.
  3. Next, in the Embed section on the right, click on Copy Code.

That’s it. You can paste the code anywhere within your site’s HTML, typically inside the <body> tag, where you want the form to be shown. If you’re using a CMS like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace, look for a block or widget that accepts custom HTML or code embeds. Paste the JavaScript code there, and your form will display directly on the page.
