    Liebes Support-Team,

    Laura

    Hi DSW_SIK,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.

Now, coming back to your question, the floating text field you’re using for the “overall rating” looks visually clean, but when it comes to accessibility, there are a few things to consider. Jotform supports accessible form creation that complies with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA standards, but not all widgets or field styles are equally optimized for assistive technologies like screen readers.

Floating labels can sometimes pose challenges for users with visual impairments or cognitive disabilities, especially if the label disappears or overlaps with input text. To ensure full accessibility, we recommend enabling Form Accessibility in your form settings. This activates Jotform’s built-in accessibility checker, which will flag any elements that may need adjustment. Let me show you how:

    1. In the Form Builder, go to the Settings tab.
    2. Click the Show More Options button under the Form Settings section.
    3. Scroll down and look for the Form Accessibility option and select Enabled from the dropdown list.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
