Hi Elena,
Jotform prioritizes data protection and GDPR compliance. If you're in the European Union (EU) or conducting business there, you can store your forms and data in Jotform's EU data center in Frankfurt, Germany. This ensures compliance with GDPR regulations and enhances data security. This option can be enabled in your account settings. Let me show you how to do it:
- In your My Workspace panel, click on the Profile Avatar at the upper right corner of the panel.
- Select the Settings option in the dropdown menu.
- On the left side of the panel, select the Data tab.
- Put a Check on the Store my data only in Europe (Germany) under the GDPR Data Center.
- Then, the Transfer Data to EU window will appear and click on the Move to EU button.
Regarding server locations, Jotform utilizes cloud-based servers hosted by Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS), with data centers in Frankfurt (EU), Iowa, and Virginia (U.S.). EU data remains within the EU to comply with regional regulations.
For security, Jotform implements 256-bit SSL encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage, and two-factor authentication (2FA) to safeguard accounts. Additional security measures protect against unauthorized access, spam, and malicious attacks.
If data residency in Switzerland (CH) is required, Jotform Enterprise provides options for selecting global data center locations, though this feature is not available for standard accounts.
