Approval Flow: Request to set a character limit to Comments of the Approval workflow

Is there any way to change the character limit for comments in a approval workflow?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, at the moment it is not possible to change the character limit for comments in the Approval Flow. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. When or if it's implemented depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

I wanted to reach out and share the good news — you can now customize the character limit of the comment box shown on your pending approvals, thanks to our new Workflows Update. Let’s walk through updating those settings together, below:

1. Start by accessing your form and opening the existing Approval Flow (which is now called Workflows).
2. Next, locate the Approval element within your Workflow, where the Confirmation Page needs to be updated.
3. Now, click on the gear-shaped Settings icon for that element.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the Approval Properties and disable the Require Login for Approver setting.
5. Then, click the Customize button. From here, you’ll be able to customize the screens shown during the Approval process.
6. Click on the gear-shaped Settings icon for the comment box
7. Enable/ Disable/ Customize the character limit as needed

Finally, click on Back to Workflow Builder (located in the upper left-hand corner) to save your changes.
