hello! I do not have PDF editor in my quick access menu. I want to be able to rename a pdf that is generated from a form I created, but the only way I can find to do this is to use the pdf editor, which is a feature I am having a hard time finding.

Hi Erin,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I’m sorry you're having difficulties with this. Let me help you set that up.
- In Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon on the top-left side of the page and select PDF Editor.
- In PDF Editor, click on the Gear icon on the right side of the page.
- Under the PDF File Name, type your preferred file name or click on Form Fields to select the field that you want as a title. That's it.
Can you give it another try and let us know what happens? If the same thing happens again, can you take a screenshot of what’s happening and send it to us? This guide will show you how to do that. You may also try using a different browser or device to see if I'll make a difference.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
- In Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon on the top-left side of the page and select PDF Editor.

Thanks for this! Sorry I could have been a little more specific in my ask. I'd like to name the pdf that is created through the signature feature, not the form feature. So once someone fills out this signable document, the resulted PDF I'd like to rename, because currently it is created as a random string of numbers.

Hi Erin,
Thanks for getting back to us. Are you referring to the attached PDF file with the received email as shown below in the screenshot?
If yes, you can change the Title from the Settings tab of the Sign document. See the screenshot below showing the Document Title section:
We also have a guide explaining How to Use Jotform Sign that you can check out.
If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more, so I can help you better?

Hello! I'll look at the guide, but here's what is happening for me...
I did name the form, but the title of the form when it arrives in my inbox it has a different title:
This doesn't seem to be inputting into the pdf name I get via email:
Or the pdf name that is added to my GDrive via the integration. I was able to amend the folder name, but not the name of the pdf itself.
Ideally, I'd like the name of the signed form to be "<Form Name> <Name>, both on the completed form that arrives in my email, and goes to my gDrive.
Thank you for your help! I'm a new user, and so far this is the only thing I'm struggling to figure out.

Hi Erin,
Thanks for getting back to us with additional information. I'm afraid there is currently no way to change the file name after the Signed Documents have been completed and sent via email. I tried everything I could to find a workaround, but there was none. For this, I've opened a feature request ticket. Please keep in mind that feature requests are subject to the demand for such a feature as well as our developers' workload. Rest assured that we will notify you via this ticket if and when this feature is implemented.
In the meantime, let us know if you have any other questions.

How can I be added to the thread once this feature is active.

Hi Erin,
Thanks for getting back to us. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know. When or if it's implemented depends on our developer's workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you.
