I have some old forms requiring action sitting in my inbox. They have already been resolved with new form submissions that were approved. I would like to delete these forms from my inbox, but I don't see how to do that.

Hello Diana,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. We’re sorry if you’re having trouble deleting approval notifications from the form inbox. I’ll do my best to help you out.
If you want to delete the approval notification from your inbox, you will need to click the vertical ellipsis on the top right and you will see at the bottom Move to trash. Check out the screencast below:
If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain more information so I can help you better? It would help us to understand what’s happening if you could take a screenshot and send it to us. We have a guide here explaining how to do that.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you.

Hi Kris,
Thank you for your prompt response to my support ticket.
Maybe it is how I have been set up in the system, but I do no see the inbox folder or the trash folder.
I only have Waiting for Me / Snoozed / Completed Approvals. How do I address that?
I believe I attached the JPG screenshot properly.
Thank you again
Diana

Hello Diana,
Thanks for getting back to us. Unfortunately, we did not receive your attached image in this thread. Can you send it to us again by following this guide?
As for your concern, you might also want to delete the submission directly in your Jotform Tables. We have a guide about How to Delete Form Submission Data that you can check out.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.

I have been doing that :(
I have tried a JPG and now a PNG - neither one is attaching. I see it in the window but when I click add, it is not saving to the thread....Maybe it's on my end. I will connect with my IT team and get back to you... Again thank you for your help.
Blessed day!
Diana

Hi Ryan,
I confirmed with my IT team that I am doing the right thing according to your instructions and that we do not have restrictions that would prevent my attaching the file. So I am kind of stuck now. We do not prefer to upload via Google Drive or iCloud and I don't have/use dropbox.
Maybe this is a basic question if I reword my issue that doesn't require you to see my screen?
I want to delete form submissions where I am only the approver - not the form creator. I have five old approval submissions sitting in my Waiting for Me file that are either duplicates - (a new form was submitted and approved by another approver) OR were actually already approved by me (the form shows in my completed approvals list but the submission did not clear from Waiting for Me list). How do I do that?
Your screen cast walk though, and everything I am reading, seems to suggest that this is actually done through forms not approvals. (unless I am misunderstanding). I do not have access to forms nor was I creator of these specific forms. There are only 3 options that I have in my Jotform settings: Waiting for Me / Snoozed / Completed Approvals. There is no Inbox or Trash folder. When I select one of the submissions my only option is to approve or deny.
These forms go back to May and August 2022. I thought over time they would just drop off, but it appears that is not the case.
We prefer they stay out of the workflow process by not having to incorrectly approve or deny at this point.

Hi Diana,
Thanks for providing a detailed explanation of your concern. We're really sorry that this is happening to your account. Unfortunately, the approvals in your inbox can't be deleted manually. This could be a duplicate submission. You will have to either approve it or decline it so it will go to your Completed Approvals tab. If after that the issue still exists, you may provide us with a recording of what's happening so we can further investigate.
Let us know if you need any more help.

Hello Jotform Support!
Whatever Issue I was having with adding attachments to my prior support tickets has been resolved!! (YAY!!)
I think the last correspondence from Eiron_O answered my question, but now that I can attach my screen shots, I thought I would try once more to be sure we are on the same page and I did get the final answer :)
I want to remove these five old forms that are waiting from action on my Waiting For Me list. They are duplicate forms and are very old. I want to remove them without having to deny or approve which will create a confusing email to the forms' originators. Is there anyway to remove these from my approvals list? I did not create any of these that I want to remove from my Waiting For Me list nor do I have access to create forms in general. I only approve/deny them.
Thank you in advance for spending a few more minutes on this for me. Diana

Hello Diana,
Thanks for getting back to us. You can remove those submission by moving it to Trash. Let me show you how:
1. In your Inbox, select the submission and click the Trash icon to move it to Trash entries.
2. If you want the submission to be purge, you may also need to delete it in Trash entries. Select the submission or select the empty box above to select all the submission in Trash entries and click the Trash icon to delete the submission permanently.
You might also want to check out this guide about How to Delete Form Submission Data.Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
