judithbrown519I have created a form. In that form I have added an input table with 4 columns.
- Item
- Quantity
- Product cost
- Total
I am trying to add a calculation/formula
quantity x product cost = total for each line.
Then I want all the totals for each line to have a grand total.
Here is a snapshot of my table. Can this be done?

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Judith,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Yes, you can achieve the calculation you described in your form using Jotform features. Here's how it can be done:
1. Calculate Total for Each Line:
Use the Form Calculation widget for each row to multiply Quantity by Product Cost. You can add a Form Calculation widget for each line and set the formula as Quantity x Product Cost for that row.2. Calculate Grand Total:
Add another Form Calculation widget that sums all the individual line totals to get the grand total.Alternatively, if you are working with Jotform Tables, you can use the Advanced Formula feature to create calculated columns:
- Create a column with a formula multiplying Quantity and Product Cost for each row.
- Create another column with a formula summing all the totals from each row to get the grand total.
This approach allows you to perform calculations inside the table view of your form submissions.
Here are some helpful references from Jotform documentation that explain these features in detail:

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
