Jotform Inbox: Option to add an edit timestamp or an “edited” badge after a comment has been modified

Needed for reporting to show no edits were made to comments before the submission is finished and archived.

We have a submission, there are comments on the submission.

Someone makes an error on the comment, they can edit it and save the edit. This issue is that the date of the comment attached to the submission doesn't change, and there is no indication that anything was changed.

I can find the revision history to a form, but there does not appear to be a way to create a report or view that would show any comments on a Submission, when they were changes and what was changed.

Is there a way to block someone from editing a comment?

If you’re referring to the submission comments in Jotform Inbox, there isn’t an option at the moment to view edit history the way the Form Revision History tool works. It’s also correct that editing a comment doesn’t update the date or show a timestamp for when it was edited.

While that feature isn’t available in Jotform right now, I’ve sent your request to our Developers for review. When or if it gets developed will depend on their current workload, how possible it is, and how much demand there is from other users.
