Hi, is it possible to set a maximum file size? Some cameras take big pictures but we can only store up to 6MB. Please, if possible, make this a new setting.

    Hi Pieter,

Thanks for using Jotform. It only takes a minute to change the Limit File Size in the File Upload element. This is how it’s done:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the File Upload field, and then click on the Gear icon to open File Upload Properties.
    2. In the menu on the right side of the page, click on the Options tab.
    3. Then, toggle the Limit File Size to the On position.
    4. Now, set the Minimum and Maximum file size limits in KB to what you want, and you're done.

Let us know if you have other questions.

    Hi Sheena,

I know that the File Upload element has a file limit setting.

What I was asking is if it's possible to set a limit on a filesize of a photo in the  Take Photo widget?

Or, alternatively, after a photo is taken in the Jotform app, to automatically compress an image?

    Hi Pieter,

While the feature you're looking for isn't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

Good day, I have the exact same issue where we are highly dependant on the Take Photo widget. We use it to gather information from our employees which serves as evidence to our client for work completed on various sites. Problem is the labels in the photos are not legible at all, which results in our work not being signed off. We would highly appreciate for this to be looked into as well, or alternative solution other than the file upload element as this is too time consuming. Thank you.
