I need the last name box to be shown above the first name.

also the guest fee seems to be locked in at $27.00 rather than calculated by the number of guests 4 + years or older at $3.00 per person.

Can you get these two issues taken care of on my form?

    Hi davidvroon51,

Shrinking form fields and reordering them is super easy to do. Let me show you the first way:

    1. In Form Builder, select the field you want to shrink and right-click on it.
    2. In the dropdown menu, click on Shrink.
    3. Once you shrink them, you can simply drag and drop them where you want.

You can also shrink fields in the properties of the them. Let me walk you through it:

    1. While in Form Builder, select the field you want to shrink and click on the Gear icon next to it.
    2. In the menu on the right side of the page, click on the Advanced tab.
    3. Scroll down and toggle the Shrink option to On.

    To unshrink the fields:

    1. Select the field you want to unshrink and click on the Gear icon next to it.
    2. In the menu on the right side of the page, click on the Advanced tab.
    3. Scroll down and toggle the Shrink option to Off.

    Hi davidvroon51,

Let me help you with your two issues:

Reordering the Last Name and First Name Fields

To show the last name box above the first name box in your form, you can simply drag and drop the fields in Form Builder to reorder them. Click and hold the last name field, then drag it above the first name field and release it.

    Fixing the Guest Fee Calculation

The guest fee calculation being locked at $27.00 instead of calculating $3.00 per guest aged 4 years or older suggests that the calculation formula or widget needs adjustment.

    Here’s how to fix it:

    1. Locate the Form Calculation widget or the field responsible for the guest fee calculation in your form.
    2. Edit the calculation formula to multiply the number of guests aged 4+ by $3.00. For example, if you have a field counting guests 4 years or older, use a formula like: Number_of_Guests_4+ * 3.
    3. Save the changes and test the form to ensure the fee updates correctly based on the number of guests.

If you are using a Payment field with fixed pricing, you may need to switch to a Form Calculation widget or adjust the product pricing settings to reflect the per-person fee.

Give these steps a try and let us know if you need further assistance.

    Hi davidvroon51,

Let me help you with that:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder.
    2. Look for the Form Calculation widget in the list of fields on your form. It usually appears as a field labeled "Form Calculation" or similar.
    3. If you don't see it on your form yet, you can add it by clicking on the Add Form Element button on the left side of the Form Builder.
    4. Then, under the Widgets tab, search for "Form Calculation" and drag it onto your form.
    5. Click on the Form Calculation widget to open its settings where you can edit the calculation formula.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

    Hi David,

I would be happy to help you with your issue. I took a look at your form and saw that the "Total Guest Fee" form calculation widget only had the equation "9 * 3" in it. This is why the fee is locked to $27 dollars, since the widget is not being influenced by anything else.

Luckily, it is simple to make the form calculation value change based on a value from another field. You can follow the steps below to do so.

    • In the form calculation widget, add the field you are using to change the value of this widget via the blue "ADD FIELD" button. In this case, that would be the "Number of Guests 4+ yrs old - Up to 6 guests are permitted. Guest fees apply" field.
    • Once you do that, add the equation you want to apply. In this case, it would be the field * 3.

That's it! From there, your form calculation field will properly change based on the input a form user has put for that specific field. I have also attached a gif of how to do so.

Try that out and let us know if you have any questions.

ok I went in and did it as your tutorial suggested and it's still not working... still shows $27.00

plus everytime I go into the calculaiton widget it adds another box showing " calculation" to my form... not certain of what's happening here. but cant's seem to get it resolved.

also -one other issue - when I am in the build page - I am seeing the last name box, but when I go to preview that entry box is not there... It only shows my first name box.. AI help said it is all working, but it's not

thanks for looking into it. can you make these above changes please.

    Hi David,

Did you click the green "SAVE" button after adding the "Number of Guests 4+ yrs old - Up to 6 guests are permitted. Guest fees apply * 3" to the I took a look and noticed that the stated calculation was still "9 * 3," which would result in the $27 remaining fixed. Try adding this and seeing if this works.

As for the "Last Name" field not appearing, I saw that there is a condition being applied in the "Conditions" page that is preventing the "Last Name" field from appearing unless the "FOB Number" field is filled. If you want to always show the "Last Name" field, you can change this condition, disable it, or delete it.

Try that out and let us know if that works.

thanks went back in and was very careful to put in the exact info.

For some reason a calculaiton box is showing up everytime I go to the form calculaiton widget...

it just shows 3 * 3 in that box but there is not a calculation or total showing up in the guest fee box..

    ?

    Hi David,

Can you send either a screenshot or a quick recording of what’s going on? Loom works well for recording, or you can upload to Google Drive or Dropbox and send us the link. Or you can use this guide for taking a screenshot.

After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
