    Hi Team,

We have connected This form with https://www.jotform.com/260652587756066 Google sheet and found that Attached 58 submission are not replicated . attached submission id on google drive.

Now we modified same folder and removed field which were related to competition. So although we have name details, Competition details are overwritten in backend. Is there anyway we can recover data.

    Hi Satsang01,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your issue with the Google Sheets integration and the missing 58 submissions, as well as the overwritten competition details after removing related fields, here is what you can do:

    1. Recovering Overwritten Data: Unfortunately, if you have removed fields from your form and those fields were integrated with Google Sheets, the data related to those fields may be overwritten or lost in the backend. Jotform does not have a direct feature to recover overwritten data caused by field removal.

    2. Revision History: You can try using the Revision History feature in Jotform to revert your form to a previous state before the fields were removed. However, be aware that reverting your form will remove any fields added afterward and delete submission data associated with those fields. To avoid losing data, download your submissions before reverting.

    3. Restoring Deleted Submissions: If any submissions were deleted, you can restore them from the Trashed Entries in Jotform Tables or the submission table. Entries in Trash are kept for 30 days before permanent deletion.

    4. Google Sheets Integration Notes: Changes made directly in Google Sheets (like renaming columns or modifying the spreadsheet structure) do not affect your Jotform submissions but may break the integration. If you modified the Google Sheets folder and removed fields, it might have caused the data mismatch or loss in the sheet.

To prevent this in the future, avoid removing fields that are part of the integration or re-establish the integration after making changes to the form or spreadsheet.

If you want to resend existing submissions to Google Sheets, you can reconfigure the integration and select the option to send existing submissions again.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Satsang01,

The Revision History feature in Jotform primarily recovers the form state, meaning it allows you to view and revert your form to previous versions including the structure and fields of the form.

This feature can help you recover deleted form fields and the form's design as it was at a previous point in time. However, reverting your form will also delete submission data associated with any fields that were added after the revision you revert to. So, while you can restore the form's structure, the submission data tied to removed or changed fields may be lost unless you download your submissions before reverting.

If you have deleted individual submissions, those can be restored separately from the Trashed Entries in the submission table within Jotform.

Here’s how to use Revision History in Form Builder:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder.
    2. Click on the green Circular Arrow icon near the form title at the top.
    3. Select a previous revision from the list shown.
    4. Click Revert to restore the form to that version.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Satsang01,

Yes, if you revert your form to a previous version where the field was not yet deleted, it will also recover the data that has been collected for that field. To be safe, make sure to download all your submissions first before reverting the form. You can easily download your data from Jotform Tables as a CSV, Excel, or PDF file. Let me show you how:

    1. On your Workspace page, click on the form with the data you want to download, and click on Submissions on the top-left side of the page.
    2. In Tables that opens, in the upper-right side of the page, click on Download All
    3. Now, select Download as CSV, Excel, or PDF to download your data.

    Hi Satsang01,

You can use the Revision History feature that lets you revert your form back to an older version you select. Let me show you how to use it:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Circular Arrow icon at the top middle of the page to open the Revision History menu.
    2. In the menu on the right side of the page, select the version you want to restore the form to.
    3. Now, just click on Revert next to the version you select, and then close the Revision History menu in the top right corner.
