    Hello,

I am currently experiencing two issues with one of my forms and would appreciate your assistance.

    1. Spanish Translation Not Displaying

I configured my recurring cleaning checklist to include Spanish translations using the following path:

Form Settings → Show More Options → Form Languages → Translations (Latin American Spanish).

However, the form is still only displaying in English, and I do not see an option for users to view or switch to Spanish. At the start of the form, it does give option at the top right for English and Spanish but when clicked, it still reads in English. Please advise on how to properly enable and display the Spanish version.

    2. Required Field Validation Error

I marked several fields in the checklist as “Required.” During testing, even after completing all fields, the form would not allow submission. A red error message appears at the bottom indicating that required fields are missing, although everything appears to be filled out.

    Please let me know:

    • What could be causing this validation issue
    • How to identify which specific field is triggering the error
    • Any recommended fix to ensure proper form completion and submission

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards,
    Kelly

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Let me help you with your issues:

    1. Spanish Translation Not Displaying

It's easy to translate an existing form into another language. Let me walk you through it:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder, and in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. Click on Show More Options, scroll down to the Form Languages section, and click on Edit.
    3. In the Form Language section, click on the Downward Arrow icon and select your form's main language.
    4. In the Translations section, click on Add Language, and select the language you want it translated to.
    5. Click on Add under the Dropdown menu, and translate the fields that haven't been automatically translated into the target language.
    6. Then, click on the Form Warnings tab to see/edit any untranslated fields or edit the translated fields. It'll be automatically saved when you add or edit any text.

That's it. Now, when people select the other language while filling out your form, they'll see the translated form warnings and fields.

    2. Required Field Validation Error

This issue can occur if there are hidden or conditional fields marked as required that are not filled out, or if there is a glitch in the form validation.

To identify which specific field is triggering the error:

    • Check if any required fields are hidden or conditionally shown and ensure they are filled when visible.
    • Try submitting the form and look for red highlights or error messages near the fields.
    • Review your form's conditions that might affect field visibility and requirement.

Recommended fixes to ensure proper form completion and submission:

    • Make sure all required fields are visible and filled out.
    • Review and adjust any conditional logic that might hide required fields.
    • Test the form in preview mode to see if the validation error persists.
    • Clear your browser cache or try a different browser to rule out caching issues.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi ofMaids,

I checked your Recurring Cleaning Checklist form and it does give me an option at the top-right to switch language between English and Spanish. Check this out:

Form Language: Some parts of the form arent translating Image 1 Screenshot 30 If you're referring to some parts of the form not translating, like what you see on my screen recording above, where the field labels are not translating, you will have to make sure that you've set their proper translations.

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top, click on Settings.

    2. In Form Settings, click on the Show more options button.

    3. Scroll down to Form Languages and click on Edit.

    4. Finally, edit Spanish language, and set up each field label's proper translation.
