jenniferfaye369Hello,
I downloaded the app for ease of use on the go. When I try to send my form to a client I click on it and then I try to click next. A red message comes up and says "Faye Ryan does not have a annotation." What does this mean? All the boxes I set up on desktop to be filled out look the same as on desktop.
It won't let me send.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Faye,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
The message "Faye Ryan does not have an annotation" likely indicates a required annotation or signature field that needs to be filled out before you can proceed to send the form. This is common if your form includes an e-signature or annotation widget that must be completed.
Let me help you with that:
- Open the form in the Jotform Mobile App.
- Check if there is an annotation or signature field on the form that is required. These fields usually need to be filled or signed before submission.
- Fill out or sign the annotation field as needed. If you are the sender, you might need to complete this field or ensure it is properly set up on the desktop version.
If you want to share the form with your client via email directly from the app, here’s how to do it:
- Tap on the form you want to share.
- In the menu at the bottom, tap on Share.
- Select your email app (like Gmail) to send the form link.
- Customize your email and send it.

That should help you resolve the annotation message and send your form successfully.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

No that was not helpful. That’s not what comes up for me.
I should not have to sign. This is a form for my client to sign only.
I want a person to respond NOT AI. I tooth screen shots I can upload.

Jan JotForm SupportHi Faye,
I see what you mean now. Thanks for clarifying that you just want your client to sign the form and that you shouldn't have to sign it yourself. Can you share your form link with me so I can take a closer look?
Also, since you mentioned having screenshots, a screenshot of what you’re seeing would be really helpful. Our guide on How to Post Screenshots to Our Help Center shows you how to take one.
Once we hear back from you, we can get moving on a solution.

Lorenz JotForm SupportHi Faye,
Based on some of your screenshots, it looks like you're using the Jotform Sign mobile app. I tested on my device and I don't get any errors. Can you share with us the exact steps you're doing to get the error, so we can replicate on our end? Are you scanning a document, uploading, or using an already built template?
Once we hear back from you, we can help you sort this out.
