I looked into the API Document but, I could not find the link which can help me.

    Let me explain my requirement.

I created jotform sign document and invite link is:

    https://www.jotform.com/sign/260294841846061/invite/01kg7tqsw3db61cc2cab2e0a2e?athlete_id=123.

If you see this link, there is athlete_id=123. I want to set this value in the sign document any of the field. Once signer signs, it should be sent to the webhook. This way I would get to know that who has signed the document by checking athlete_id value in my database.

Is this possible to achieve? If yes, please suggest the steps.

To tried by adding prefill[athlete_id]=123 in the query string as below, by adding a short text field but could not work:
    https://www.jotform.com/sign/260294841846061/invite/01kg7tqsw3db61cc2cab2e0a2e?prefill[athlete_id]=123.

To do above I follow this video:
    https://www.jotform.com/help/71-prepopulating-fields-to-your-jotform-via-url-parameters/

Help me to set the passed value in the sign document field, or suggest some other way to achieve this with the sign document so that I can get athlete_id in the webhook to check who has signed.

    Thank you,

    Hi Shashikant,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Currently, Jotform Sign doesn’t support passing values through URL parameters the same way classic forms do, so ?prefill[...] won’t work with Sign invite links.

As a workaround, use Smart PDF instead. Let me show you how to do this:

    1. On your Workspace page, click on Create on the top-left side of the page.
    2. Select Form from the assets, and then click on Smart PDF Form.
    3. In Smart PDF Forms, click on Upload Document, and then select the PDF you want to convert to a form, or just drag and drop the PDF into the white upload area.

Image-1 Sometimes the fields automatically created in the PDF file end up in the wrong place. If that happens, you’ll need to move and resize them. Check out the screencast below to see how it’s done:

Image-2 If some fields aren’t added automatically, you can manually add them to your form, and then match it to the PDF on the right side of the page.

Image-3 That's it. Once your Smart PDF form is ready, you need to enable the Jotform Sign Automation feature. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Jotform Sign.
    3. Then, toggle On the Enable Jotform Sign Automation option.

Next, you need to start prefilling the form. Let me show you how:

    1. In Smart PDF Form Builder, click on Publish in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

    2. Under the Prefill tab on the left side of the screen, click on Manual Prefill.

    3. Then, click on the Add a New Prefill button.

    4. Partially fill out the form, and then click on Create on the top-right side of the page.

    5. On the right side of the generated link, click on the Three Dots icon, and then click on Copy URL or Send Invitation.

    6. Then, in the Send Invitation window, enter the user's email address in the Recipients field.

    7. Finally, enter a message in the Message section, and then click on Send Invitation

    Hi Kyle,

Thanks a lot for helping me to understand step by step. I worked as per requirement.

In the PDF, when we upload, If I want to add checkbox just left of any content, it is either going up or down not left of it. I want to add that check box, so that, if someone reads the statement, will mark as read.

Please help if we can maintain the checkbox just of any of the article in the PDF and same should be visible to the end user.

After that at last, document will be signed.

    Thank you.
