Why does the View Form button in reminder emails link to the wrong form?

I am experiencing an issue where my forms that I cloned from other forms are cross-linking to the original form. The cloning feature does not appear to be working correctly, and this has happened on several forms. Specifically, I have a form called FORM - Texas Judge Races - 2026. When I send reminders, the reminder text is unique to that form, but the View Form orange button on the form always links to FORM - US House of Representatives. I need to understand why this is happening and how to fix it. I also need help editing the link because there is no orange button link in the email content to edit. When asked if I need help editing the link, I confirmed that I do. I requested that the correct form URL be found for me. Additionally, I am unsure if I am supposed to be under Publish, then Email to modify the Reminders because there are no Reminders under Settings, then Emails. I also noted that there is no place to change the URL link under Reminder emails. I want to resolve this issue so that the reminder emails link correctly to the intended form.

    Hi MCTP_PAC,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you share your form link with me so I can take a closer look at it? The issue you've encountered usually happens because reminder emails are not duplicated with a new link when a form is cloned, instead, they retain the original form’s URL. That’s why your reminders for FORM - Texas Judge Races - 2026 are still linking to FORM - US House of Representatives.

To fix this, you’ll need to delete the existing reminder email and create a new one directly. This ensures that the reminder will automatically use the correct URL. Since reminder emails can only be managed under Publish, you won’t see them listed in the usual email notification or autoresponder section. Once you recreate the reminder email under the correct form, the View Form button will properly link to FORM - Texas Judge Races - 2026.

It's very easy to Set Up Reminder Emails in Jotform. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
    2. Click on Emails on the left side of the screen, and select the Schedule A Reminder Email option.
    3. Edit the content of your Reminder Email.

    1. While in the Reminder Emails settings, click on the Schedule tab.
    2. Adjust the Repeats and Send Date options as needed to select which day or days you would like to send.
    3. Click the Downward Arrow icon in the Send Time section to change the time it will be sent.
    4. In the Start Date section, click the Calendar icon to set the starting date. You can also set an end date to stop sending reminder emails on a specific day in the End Date section, and click on Save.

Thanks Adrian, that should really be a red-letter warning anytime you clone a form!

Also the clone feature and rename feature do not change the name of the form throughout the system. Apparently the Page Title field is unchanged and still says "Clone of " further complicating all the references to that form throughout. That is also a bug that should be fixed. If you rename a form from the Workspace, it is logical to believe it is renamed in all places where that code is referenced.
