Ai chatbot not responding as expected

    I have spent a few weeks programming my chatbot; I have set up multiple conditions and have a wide knowledge base. However, in Preview mode it does not behave as per the conditions and does not have all of the knowledge.

    For example, in its Knowledge Base I've told it it represents a particular theatre, and when it's asked "What's On?" it pulls info from the theatre's website.

    However, in preview mode it asks "which theatre I'd like to know about? Please provide a web link".


    I'm very confused.

    Thanks for responding Adrian,

    You can see below that I have asked it exactly the same question in Training and Preview mode and got different answers. The response in Preview mode suggests it doesn't know the venue it's representing. You can of course clone the AI and Knowledge Base to find the problem.

    When I cloned and tested your AI Agent, the same thing happened for me. When I tried recrawling the knowldge based links, it started to be working properly. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my result:

    1. In AI Agent Builder, in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Train.
    2. Then, in the Knowledge Base section, select Link.
    3. Now, go to knowledge base link and click the Three vertical dots and choose Recrawl.

    Thanks for your help. Unfortunately it hasn't changed the result, even after the recrawl. I've asked it exactly the same question as in my first message and received the same response as I had in my first message.

    Any further suggestions?

    I cloned and tested your AI Agent and it appears that it is not reading the website events as expected. This could be why the chatbot is not providing the correct information about the theatre's events. To address this, ensure that the knowledge base links are correctly set up and accessible. If the issue persists, consider training the AI Agent separately using the Teach Your Agent feature to manually add or correct information related to the events.

    Hi Sheena,

    I have already manually trained it, as well as importing the links. Most of the training was actually manual. In training mode it works perfectly, giving all answers as expected, using correct Conditional Logic, and retrieving correct information from the correct parts of the website. In Preview it is totally different.

    Since you have already manually trained the agent and set up conditional logic correctly, yet the Preview mode behaves differently from Training mode. You can use the Teach Your Agent feature in the AI agent Builder, this real-time chatting helps refine responses and improve accuracy. You can add new information or correct responses directly during these chats.

    Ensure that all knowledge base links are accessible and the data format on those websites is compatible with the AI Agent's crawling and reading capabilities. I have cleared the account cache to solve any cache related issues. Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same issue again, let us know, and we'll do some more testing to see what's going on.
