Hi meerainc,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
Your autoresponder email content changes automatically because Jotform's default email content includes form field tags that dynamically populate with submitted data. If you replace the content with plain text but later see form fields reappear, it may be due to the email template's automatic update feature.
Here’s how to fix it:
- Go to Form Builder and click on the Settings tab.
- Select Emails on the left panel and edit your autoresponder email by clicking the pencil icon.
- In the Email tab, customize your email content as desired, making sure to remove unwanted form field tags.
- Go to the Advanced tab, and toggle off the Update Email option to disable automatic template updates.
- Save your changes.
This will prevent the autoresponder from reverting to form fields automatically.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi meerainc,
Just wanted to ask, did you recently update your form, like adding or removing a field? Sometimes, when changes are made to the form, the autoresponder email content can reset if it's set to update automatically.
I added a screencast guide and matched it to the guide provided by AI Agent Podo.
Give it a try and let us know if you need help.
