Unable to Access Sign Automation & Form Prefill Feature

    Hi,

I need to send a Jotform Sign document automatically after someone fills out my form — not just capture a signature on the form itself. Can you confirm whether Sign Automation and Form Prefill features are enabled on my account? Because those options do not appear, even when I follow your published steps.

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

You can send a Jotform Sign document automatically after someone fills out your form by using the Sign Automation feature available in Jotform Sign. To use this, you need to add the Signature element to your form and enable sign automation from there.

If you do not see the Sign Automation and Form Prefill options, it might be due to account settings or plan limitations. These features are part of Jotform Sign and Workflow Builder, which allow you to automate sending signable documents and prefill forms.

To get started, go to My Sign Documents page to create or upload your signable document, then set up workflows to send documents automatically after form submission.

Let me know if you need detailed steps on setting this up.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. To confirm, are you referring to your Review Reschedule or Cancellation Form, I have checked the form, and it seems that Jotform sign is not yet enabled. Keep in mind, that you can send a Jotform Sign document automatically after someone fills out your form by using the Sign Automation feature available in Jotform Sign. To use this, you need to add the Signature element to your form and enable sign automation from there.

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Jotform Sign.
    3. Then, toggle On/Off the Enable Jotform Sign Automation option.

Now when it comes to Prefill feature, note that this feature is available in your current plan. Prefilling your form using another form is easy. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
    2. Now, click on Prefill in the menu on the left side of the page, and then select Form Prefill.
    3. Click on the Downward Arrow icon and select the form that you want to prefill from, and then match the fields.
    4. Finally, click on Save Settings on the bottom-right side of the Form Prefill section.

    1. Click on Add a New Prefill and select a row or the rows you want to be prefilled.
    2. Then, click on the Create button in the right corner of the page.

    1. In the Form Prefill settings, click on Can Edit next to the prefill link.
    2. In the dropdown menu that opens, select Read only, and that's it.
