    Hello!

Is custom regex validation for short text fields available on the free plan or is it restricted to paid plans in the Portuguese interface?

    Hi wefgoncalves,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. Regarding your question about custom regex validation for short text fields in the Portuguese interface. Can you explain a bit more about the issue, so I can get a better idea of what's happening? Can you take a screenshot of what’s happening and send it to us? We’ve got a guide here that’ll show you how to do that.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

A minha dúvida é se a validação dos dados de entrada está disponível apenas na versão paga?
Ou vocês nâo fornecem validação por regex personalizado?Question about Custom Regex Availability for Starter Plan Image 1 Screenshot 20

    Hi wefgoncalves,

Regarding your question about custom regex validation for short text fields on the free (Starter) plan, this feature is not specifically mentioned as restricted to paid plans in our knowledge base. The Starter plan provides access to most features, with the main difference being limits on usage rather than feature availability. We have also a guide about Getting Started With the Basics of Input Masking that you can check out.

While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our Developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

I see. I ask because regex validation is very important to validate input data such as CPF here in Brazil and I did not find this option.

To validate a CPF, for example, I could use this regex (regular expression): ^\d{3}\.\d{3}\.\d{3}-\d{2}$

    Hi wefgoncalves,

I understand how important regex validation is, especially for structured inputs like CPF in Brazil. While custom regex isn't currently supported natively in Jotform's Short Text fields even on paid plans I've noted your specific use case and added it to the escalation request for our Developers, including your CPF validation regex: ^\d{3}\.\d{3}\.\d{3}-\d{2}$.

Although we don’t have a solution yet, rest assured, we’ll keep working on this until it's resolved. We’ll get back to you as soon as we have an update.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can do for you.
