We make a product we want to put a QR code on it that tells us the moment it is scanned, from where, IP address, Operating system. A paper trail of espionage is what our lawyers would want.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can generate a QR code directing to a form where the product consumer will need to fill out the form. Once the form is submitted, you'll be able to get their IP Address, however for operating system unfortunately, you will need to manually ask them to choose what their operating system is by adding a field (dropdown field or single choice field) as this information can't be determined by just having the IP Address. Generating a QR code for your form is easy, let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Publish in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- Now, under Quick Share click on the QR Code icon under Share Form.
- Finally, you can download the QR code of your form or copy the HTML code of the QR code.
That's it. Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.
