I would like to change the multiple choice option to a single typed response within an application. Also, is it possible to certain fields a requirement based on the response of a previous question?

    Hi SiafuEnterprisesInc,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and checked the field showing in your attached screenshot and it's a Dropdown field not a Multiple Choice element. Just to make sure that I understood what you're asking, you want a Single Choice option in your application, right? If that's what you need, you can add Single Choice field in your form. Let me show you how:

    • In Form Builder, click the Add Form Element +.
    • Under Basic tab, scroll down then add or drag Single Choice field in your form. How do I change a drop down option to a type option? Image 1 Screenshot 30

But, if you want the responder to type their answer you can add Short Text element in your form instead.

Also, it's possible to certain fields a requirement based on the response to a previous question. Check out our guide explaining How to Use Conditional Logic for More Efficient Forms.
