Impact of Removing Payment Options on Existing Subscriptions in Square Integration

Hello! I'm writing because I have a question. In one of my forms, I offer payment methods. One option is to pay in full, and the others are to pay in installments, either weekly or bi-weekly. My question is that from now on, I want to offer only the option to pay in full. If I remove the weekly or bi-weekly payment options, will the subscriptions that have already been made be stopped? For example, I have someone who paid for a 4-week subscription and is in their second week. If I delete the payment option from my form, will the payments continue for the next two weeks? I’m using the Square integration. Thanks!

    Hi alwcnews,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. When you remove payment options from a form, it does not affect existing subscriptions that have already been set up through Square or other payment integrations. This means that if a user is already in an ongoing subscription (e.g., for 4 weeks, and they are in the second week), the payments will continue as scheduled for the remaining period, even if you remove the weekly or bi-weekly payment options from the form.

Existing subscriptions remain managed through Square and not directly through Jotform, so changes to the form won't stop any ongoing payment plans unless you cancel them manually in your Square dashboard.

To ensure everything proceeds smoothly, you can log into your Square account and double-check the status of any active subscriptions to confirm that they will continue as expected.

But note, if you remove the product from your product list on your form, it will also be removed from the submission table and received associated submissions as well. We highly recommend to backup your submission data before making any changes on your form.
