    Hi

Referencing the issue here - https://www.jotform.com/answers/4375211-why-do-some-email-fields-appear-with-a-different-format

The form fields within our emails look awful (see below).

I've attempted to alter the source code within the notification email but each time i do it the system automatically injects the styling back in.

Is there any way around this?

    Hello CorePlusHQ,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. There's an easy way to fix this without altering the source code. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, go to Settings tab in the orange navigation bar.
    2. Click Emails on the left sidebar.
    3. Hover to your Autoresponder Email and click on the Pen icon to open Email Content. Customizing the Dropdown Menu Value on Autoresponder Email Content Image 1 Screenshot 40
    4. In the Email Content, highlight all the text to the bottom.
    5. Click on Align Text icon.
    6. Select the Left Alignment.
    7. Then, hit the Save button.Customizing the Dropdown Menu Value on Autoresponder Email Content Image 2 Screenshot 51
    8. You repeat these steps on your other Autoresponder Email.

    Hi CorePlusHQ,

Please ignore my first reply if that’s not exactly what you’re looking for. I took another look at your inquiry, and I realize my first response might not have fully addressed the issue you're experiencing, I apologize about that! I understand now that the main concern is that the form fields in your emails are automatically getting styled in a way that doesn’t look quite right, and your attempts to manually adjust the HTML/source code are being overridden by the system.

If you have a specific style or format you want to apply to your autoresponder emails, could you share a bit more about what you're aiming for? If you have a reference or an example of how you’d like the emails to look, that would be really helpful. This way, I can better guide you on how to achieve that look, or we can explore potential workarounds together.

As soon as we hear back from you, we can move forward with a solution.

    Hi Cyrus

Thanks for your response, and you are correct - the alignment wassnt the issue here, it's actually the blue box around the form field that is being bought in from the form input.

We'd like it to match the same style as the rest of the text, as the first name field does in the example above.

    Thanks,

    Tim

    Hi CorePlusHQ,

In new Autoresponder Email Content, multiple choice and dropdown field values are shown in blue boxes. Unfortunately, you can't customize it but, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

As a workaround, you can pass the selection in the dropdown to the hidden short text and put the Short text into the email content. Let me show you how to pass a value to another field:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Element on the left side of the page.

    2. Drag and drop the Short Text element into the form field.

    3. Click on the Gear icon to open the Properties menu.

    4. In the menu opens on the right side of the page, under the Advanced tab, toggle on the Hide field option.

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. Click on Conditions on the left side of the page and click on Add Condition.

    3. Select UPDATE/CALCULATE option.

Now, let's change the Autoresponder Email content:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.

    2. Click on Emails on the left side of the page.

    3. Hover your mouse over the Autoresponder and click on the Pencil icon.

    4. Delete the fields on content {pleaseSelect}.
