Order form - limit to number of products?

Hi! I've been researching the answer to this question online and it seems that there's really no limit to the number of products I can add to my order form, but my IT department is telling me that the form can only handle a certain amount of data. I actually just want to load about 30 items, but they each come in multiple sizes, so considering that, it's actually more like 150 items. Can you help me make sense of what my IT department is telling me and suggest a solution?

    Hi Courtney,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Your IT department is likely concerned about the form's ability to handle large amounts of data, particularly with multiple product variations, which could impact the form's load time and performance. While Jotform doesn't impose strict limits on the number of products you can add, having around 150 items (with multiple size options for 30 products) could affect the form's responsiveness and user experience. However, this can be managed within Jotform by implementing a few strategies. One option is to use conditional logic, which only displays size options after a product is selected, reducing the initial load on the form. Another approach is using Jotform’s Product List widget, which is designed to handle multiple variations for each item. Splitting the form into multiple pages could help by loading items progressively rather than all at once. If these solutions still don't meet your requirements, custom code or integration options might be something your IT department could help implement to manage the data better.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
