Smart PDF Builder: PDF sometimes doesn't load

    i am getting the Pdf load error periodically as I have been preparing new forms. My cache is empty. There seems to be no reason for it sometimes it loads sometimes it doesn't. Reloading the page doesn't seem to help. BUT 5 or 10 minutes later the form will load normally. So it is not a problem with the form itself web connection or user error. It is a Jotform problem.

    Are your servers overloaded is your cloud storage provider short on band width. Whatever the cause it is causing unnecessary concern for users. I hate to think how many users like me went back to reload pdf files only to find they still wouldn't load on the form but later would. These kind of problems for beginning users, will cause them to look elsewhere. Attached is the screen shot and the link to the form.

    I got 5 dollars that says when you open it everything is peachy, Intermittent problems can cause poor scores for tech support at every level. Problems that do not automatically repeat go in the fixed bin or get written off as user error or cache overflow issues.

    The screen shot below is from a windows still open and re-opened both times getting the error message a couple minutes apart.

    I have since refreshed the page and the PDF shows up. this has to be a resource issue on JotForms part. Note that below the forms tittle is "last Edit YESTERDAY" So their are no changes on the user end.

    Thanks for reaching out. When I cloned and tested your form across different browsers, everything worked the way it was supposed to. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:

    Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same issue again could you please let us know the following:

    1. Browser Version: What version of the browser are you using when you encounter the issue?
    2. Device Name: What device are you using (e.g., Windows PC, Mac, tablet, etc.)?

    Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    As I stated and as it appears others here have as well it is an intermittent problem. If you read my original message you will see how easily you have fallen into the trap.

    If you had read my entire text you would have seen that it was on again off again and the "problem did and has in the past clears itself in a few minutes. That does not change however the question of reliability and frustration a new user would have and go shopping elsewhere.

    Mine was a cautionary tail unheeded and therefor unresolved

    I understand your concern; however, we need to test and see the issue on our end so we can determine possible solutions for you. If you can provide us with the information requested by Aleeza, as well as the Console log report from the browser when the issue occurs, we can conduct a more detailed test to try and replicate the issue.

    As soon as we hear back from you, we can move forward with a solution.

    The browser was Brave also happens with Chrome. Operating system is windows and the next time it happens I will gladly get you a console report if I knew what that was exactly. I wont be doing any more editing on my forms for a while and since it only happens in edit view (My PDFs are not visible except in edit view). And again the solutions are not for me my solution is wait and it will re-appear. YOUR solution is what matters to the guy who tests out a free form and has this happens to him and he goes to Google Forms.

    Under brave/more tools/ tools/developers tools/settings/under preferences are console boxes to check or uncheck any idea if these console settings will work for you?

    Hi James,

    You can refer to this Brave's support forum on how to open console log in Brave. If you are using Chrome, you can refer to this guide. We'll need a screenshot of your console log while it's open on the Form Builder, where the PDF couldn't load. 

    Once we heard back from you, we'll be able to troubleshoot further.
