hi, i need to create a link that will send a customer to a fillable form submission. once they fill out a form, it needs to create a custom pdf that they can download and that will also come to me. the questions for the form will need to be different than how it is displayed in the pdf. For example, the form needs to ask "what is your passion" and then when transferred to the pdf it needs to be in a section that states "Your drive" and not duplication the question on the form. Is this possible?

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Yes, it's possible, you can do that by using the Smart PDF Forms feature. I recommend that you create your final output in PDF, then upload it to create your form. Then customize the form. We've made a small guide explaining the main aspects of Smart PDF Forms that you might find helpful.

    1. Creating a Smart PDF form:

    1. Go to your My Forms page, and click on the Create Form button.
    2. After clicking on it, select Import Form and click on Import PDF Form.
    3. Then, it will redirect you to the Smart PDF Forms page.
    4. Now, click on Upload PDF and upload your document to Jotform.

    2. Matching form fields with the original PDF document:

As a default feature, whenever a PDF document is uploaded to the system, it automatically connects fields with the original PDF document. If there is any problem with the connections, you can manually connect your form fields with your PDF document. It’s really easy. Let me show you how:

    1. In Smart PDF Forms, select the field that has no connection with the original PDF document.
    2. After selecting it, click on the Add to PDF button.
    3. Then, move your cursor over the PDF side of the screen, and then position and resize it the way you want it.

    1. In Smart PDF Forms, click on the Add Form Element menu on the right side of the screen.
    2. In the menu that appears on the left side of the screen, you can add anything you like.

Thank you. I was able to set it up. Now it is hard to get consistent good looking font onto the document. Is there a way that I can create it so their is a standard font type and size for all of the responses?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jason,

Just to confirm, do you wish to change the font style in your online form or your original PDF? If you wish to customize your online form, you can do that by injecting Custom CSS Code. Here's how:

    • In Smart PDF Forms, click on the Paint Roller icon on the right side of the screen.
    • In the menu that appears, you can design your form any way you prefer.
    • Also, you can inject CSS codes into the Inject Custom CSS Codes section under the Style tab.
    • After you make your changes, click on Save.

You can also change the font style in the Form Builder. Let me show you how:

    • In Smart PDF Forms, click on the Paint Roller icon on the right side of the screen.
    • Under the Styles tab, scroll down, then select your preferred font style under the Font option.

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Hi, it is for the font that the form answers fill out on the pdf. For example, I answer one of the questions on the form. I then click submit. Then the answer is transposed on top of the pdf. How do I make the font that is transposed onto the pdf consistent?

    Hi Jason,

Are you referring to the values that are being displayed in the Original PDF? If so, you can modify the text style in the PDF Editor to make the font consistent.

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon next to the Jotform Logo

    2. Click on PDF Editor, That’ll take you to PDF Editor and automatically create a PDF Document for you.

    3. In PDF Editor, click on the Blue Paint Roller icon.

    4. Change the Font Size and/or Format.

    5. Then click on the Apply Changes button.
