So, on a lease agreement where there are multiple tenant signatures, including MY signature as the landlord, how am I supposed to work that exactly??
It just seems like there is a huge lack of explanation how to implement this. Is there only 1 signature line, and then I got 4 different copies of the same lease for the tenants vs all 4 signatures on 1 page? how do I do the landlord signature?

Hi Rich,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can add multiple signature field on your form for you and your tenants to sign. Can you tell more on how you would like to set up your form/sign document so we can provide you a more detailed solution?
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

The format is Lease...
Landlord Signature
Tenant Signature x 5 in this case.
Right now it's set up with 1 signature line which is tied to the name/ email address on one tenant.
Based on my understanding, I have to send this same form to 5 different people.
Before I made the Jotform, my paper lease would have had 5 tenant signature lines... -

Hi Rich,
I’ll need a bit of time to look into this. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Hi Rich,
If I understand correctly, you want to collect multiple tenant signatures on your sign document, including your signature. Is that right? If so, you can add multiple Signature fields to your sign document and assign those to multiple tenants. Let me show you how to do it:
1. In Sign Builder, click on Add Elements on the upper left side of the page.
2. Drag and drop multiple Signature fields on your sign document.
3. Click on the Assign Field dropdown of your Signature field.
4. Click on Add New Role.5. Repeat the same steps to all the Signature fields until all of them has their own assignee.
Take note that you can also add a Name field to your sign document for each Signature field to make it easier to identify who signed the document.
Now, let's send this sign document to multiple tenants:
1. Click on Share on the green navigation bar at the top of the screen.
2. Click on Send Document to Sign.3. Enter the email addresses of your tenants.
4. Click on Send to Sign. Now, all the tenants will receive an email with the sign document, which they can sign, so all the signatures will be collected on a single sign document.
That's it. Let us know if you have any other questions.

"STEP 3 Click on the Assign Field dropdown of your Signature field."
(ASSIGN FIELD DROPDOWN) - DOES NOT EXIST.Please advise.
Had this existed, we probably wouldn't be here... -

Hi Rich,
Can you share with us a screenshot of how it looks on your end? This guide will show you how to do that. You can also share a screen recording of the steps you made and the outcome it gave you so we can try to replicate it on our end. It would be very helpful for us to understand better. You can share the video recording on any public sharing platform like Google Drive or Dropbox, or you can simply use Loom to record the video and share the video link with us.
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

So, it appears the "assign" tab does not show on my form. Now that I know your terminology, I did find a video about the "assign" tab under "publish" tab.
Hopefully I can muddle through that and figure it out.
It would be more intuitive if the assign tab appeared on the field even if nobody is programmed yet so that it would prompt you to be able to do that by sending you to the assign section. -

Also, the "Assign" section is confusing because it's asking me to "send invitations" before I assign it.
So, in general, it is not intuitive work flow.I feel like I should be able to:
1/ add email addresses for people that need to sign
2/ pre-fill a signature field with my landlord signature
3/ program fields that should be signed by email address
4/ THEN, send invitations.

So, I "assigned" on the assign tab to add these users but the form still does not show a way to assign these individuals to fields.

On my form, the pre-fill is not working and there are no assign tabs.

are you able to look at my specific form in my account?

As you can see in this video, I have assigned the form, but the assign fields tab does not appear on the form to be able to assign fields.

So, one thing I found out on "chat" is I need to create a "signable form" not a classic form.
Seem like I had to build a classic form to export as a PDF to then convert it to a signable form but then this eats up your available forms if you have to do everything in duplicate... -

So, in general, if anyone else runs into this... You can import a PDF into the singable form section and then just add your hot fields for signatures.
It's not clear to me why "Classic Form" does not allow hot signatures... It allows you to add these fields, pre-fill things, but then it doesn't work... Makes no sense.
If you don't already have am importable PDF, the classic form section was useful for creating the form and then exporting it to PDF with their PDF maker. Then you have to re-import the PDF in as a signable form, then re-add signature fields...
In my case, it erased some other fields as well on one addendum so I just used a hot field to have tenant enter in requested info.
Hopefully it goes well... -

Hi Rich,
I saw that you're adding a tenant Signature field to a form. You can add multiple Signature fields on your form, then modify your Autoresponder email to add an edit link and add a conditional logic to send the form to the other tenants so they can access the submission and sign the Signature fields on it. Let me show you how to do it:
1. In Form Builder, click on Add Form Element on the left side of the page.
2. Drag and drop Signature widgets on your form.
3. Click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen.
4. In the menu that opens on the left side of the page, click on Jotform Sign.
5. Toggle off the switch for Enable Jotform Sign Automation.6. Click on Build in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen.
7. Click on Add Form Element on the upper left side of the page.8. Drag and drop Email fields on your form.
9. Click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen.
10. In the menu that opens on the left side of the page, click on Emails.
11. Click on the Pencil icon of the Autoresponder email.12. Click inside Email Content.
13. Click on Form Fields.
14. Click on Edit Link.
15. Click on Save.16. Click on Conditions on the left side of the page.
17. Click on Change Email Recipient.18. Copy the conditional logic settings below:
Take note that the text inside the curly bracket that I've entered in the Email field is a Unique Name of the Email fields on the form.
That's it. Let us know if you have any other questions.
