How to reduce the Header space in PDF Editor?

I would like to reduce the size of my headers in the PDF editor as I do not have a subheading however when I try to resize it, it always bounces back to it's original size. How can I adjust the size of the header box so there is not too much space between the heading and the next section. I do not want the space for the subheading.

    Hi Carl,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked a few of your forms but couldn't seem to find the exact element in your screenshot, even when looking through each form's PDF template. Can you share with us the link to it so we can check it out and see what's going on further?

In the meantime, it's possible that the header is being minimized beyond its minimum range. In this case, consider using the Text element instead of the Heading element.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

    Hi Raymond,

Yes sorry, here is the link >https://www.jotform.com/pdf-editor/242187821783060.

I did try using the Heading element and hiding the original Headers in PDF editor but found that it also hid the original Headers in the online form, which I don't want it to do.

Is there a way to hide the Headers in the PDF but keep them visible in the online form?

    Hi Carl,

Unfortunately, the heading element can't be minimized further. Instead, please use the Text field found in the Add Element menu on the left.

Hi Raymond, ok will try that.

But if I use the Text field to create a heading then what do I do to the original headers? If I hide it in the PDF it also hides it on the form. Do I just use the text field in both the PDF editor and Form Builder to create the headings?

    Hi Carl,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to retain a field in the web form when it is deleted in your PDF form. A workaround possible is to use both text fields as headers in your PDF form and Webform. If that's not ideal, you may instead use the regular header field but it's height can't be reduced further.

Reach out again if you have any questions.

I faced the same where resizing the header box caused it to revert to its original size. To fix this, I adjusted the font size directly in the text formatting options and modified the padding or margin settings within the header box. Ensuring the header box wasn’t locked and saving the document after changes resolved the issue.
