How to clone form using form URL?

    Cristina Orvieto

    Hi orchestranotelibere,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Italian Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Italian, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.

Now, coming back to your question, you can export the forms from the other form and then import the data to your current form.

Let me show you how to export the submission data:

    • On your My Tables page, next to the form with the submissions you want to see, click on View Table.
    • Hover your mouse over the Download All button on the right side of the page.
    • Now, choose CSV or Excel format and download your data.

Next, we import the submission data to your current form. We have a guide on how to Easily Import Your Excel or CSV Data Into Jotform.

As for your other question, I've moved that to a new thread. You can check that out here.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

    Hi orchestranotelibere,

Yes, you can easily make a copy or clone your form. But first you have to copy the form URL to clone the form. Let me show you how.

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar, click on Publish.
    2. On Share with Link, click on Copy Link.

After copying the form URL, you can now clone an existing form from a URL.

    1. In My Forms, on the upper left side of the screen, click on Create Form.
    2. Click on Import Form and click on From A Web Page.
    3. Paste the Form URL in the Enter URL field and click on Create Form.

    Hi orchestranotelibere,

This is because the form ID 232731006117343, Prevent Cloning, is enabled. You can easily turn it off, and you can clone the form. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar, click on Settings.
    2. Click on Show More Options.
    3. Scroll down, on Prevent Cloning, click on the Downward Arrow Icon, and select No.
