Jotform’s Form View Limit helps you keep track of how many times your forms are viewed each month. It’s a handy way to make sure your forms stay active and accessible without going over your account’s limits. Whether you’re on a Starter (Free) or paid (Bronze, Silver, or Gold) plan, keeping an eye on your Form Views ensures everything runs smoothly and your forms are always ready for users.
Note
Every time someone opens your form—whether it’s embedded on your website or accessed through a direct link—it counts toward your monthly Form View Limit. If you’d like to learn more about how this works, check out our blog post, Announcing Pricing Modification: Form View Limits, for a full breakdown and helpful insights.
You might still have a few questions—and that’s exactly what this guide is here for. Let’s start by looking at the Limits, which you can also find on our Pricing page. It’s all laid out clearly and easy to explore. From there, we’ll walk you through everything else step by step. You can jump to the section that interests you most, but we recommend giving the whole guide a read to get the full picture.
What Exactly Does a Form View Mean?
A Form View is kind of like an impression. For example, if your webpage with an embedded form gets around 1000 visits a month, you’re all set with the Starter Plan. Each time someone loads that page, your form loads too—and that counts as one Form View.
If someone comes back later to edit their submission, that also counts as another View. The good news is, disabled forms don’t add to your View Count, so you won’t need to worry about those affecting your limits.
Do Views From Preview Count as Form Views?
Nope, previewing your form doesn’t count as a Form View. And if you’re logged into your Jotform account while viewing the form (even on your website), it won’t be counted either. Form Views only track when someone else—anyone who isn’t logged into your account—opens your form. Just keep in mind that if you check your form while logged out, that will count as a View.
Where Can You Check Your Form Views?
Keeping an eye on how often your form is viewed is a great way to understand your audience and stay on top of your Account Limits. If you’re curious about your form’s activity, you can easily check your Form View Limit right from your Avatar or Profile Image. Here’s what to do:
- In the top-right corner of your Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image, and then click on View All.
- Now, in the Dropdown menu, you’ll see how many Form Views you’ve used and what your current limit is.
You can also view your account’s Form View Usage and Limit from your Account Usage page. You’ll just need to do this:
- In the top-right corner of your Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image, and then click on Settings.
- Under the Usage tab on the left, in the Monthly Usage section, you’ll see your Form Views.
Pro Tip
Redirect users to a Thank You Page URL instead of reloading the form after submission. This can help reduce extra Form Views. We have a guide about How to Redirect Users After Submission that explains how to do it.

hello I was logged in while viewing my form to make sure everything was looking good I had to make adjustment so I had to keep refreshing the page. it says above if your logged in and even if its imbedded it wouldn't count against your views. how do I rack up 2500 when it was just me looking at them??

This is absurd. We racked up almost 10k 'form views' in 3 days???? There's no way we have that many actual HUMAN views on our website, which means the numbers are either being manipulated or they're counting bots visiting the page. So now we are forced to upgrade even though the forms are barely being used.

"Each time someone loads your page, it will also load the form, which would be considered a form view."
Can you please explain further? I want to add a button to "request a quote" on every product page on my website.
This means that every time someone clicks on the "request a quote" button, the form will pop up and it will count as a form view I assume.
But what happens when the user does not click on the request a quote button. Does it still count as a form view, even when they are not actually seeing the form?

I'm editing a new version of a site which has a jotform embed. I noticed the sites Jotform started getting over 100 more views a day once I started building the new site. Is it counted as a view each time I refresh the page?

How often are these view counts updated on the usage page? My page shows 0 views at the moment, but I know for a fact that the form has been viewed more than that.

What if I'm editing my form? Does that count towards anything? Because I only have about less than 7 people I've ever used jotform for.
