Guten Tag
We would like to implement Jotform for our University of applied sciences. Our data security officer told us, that our condition for that would be, that all data will be stored in the EU. Is that possible?
Thank you and kind regards

Hi Renato,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our German Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in German, let us know and we can have them do that. But, it might take a while until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question. Jotform automatically enables the Europe Datacenter feature for accounts created within the EU. For existing accounts, you can manually enable data residency in the EU. Here's how:
- Log in to your account and Go to the Settings page.
- Click on Data at the left side of the page.
- Check the Europe Datacenter option from the list. The Transfer Data to EU modal should open up.
- In the modal, click the Move to EU button.
You can also check this guide on How to Store Your Data on EU Servers (Data Residency in EU). To know more about GDPR Compliance forms, you can view this guide.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.
