kathykemperfitnessI'm trying the jotform signable forms - I can't seem to figure out how to fill out the spaces so when my client gets it all he/she needs to do is sign. Every time I test it, it seems as if my test email (as the client) has to fill out all the forms for herself before she can sign it. I don't want my new clients to need to fill out the terms (price, length, etc..) of the contract! I want that to be done so when she gets it she just needs to sign!
Thank you!

Raymond JotForm SupportHi Kathy,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If you're using the Jotform Sign document builder, I'm afraid this doesn't support prefilling data fields yet. A workaround to this is to use Jotform's SmartPDF instead. Let me show you how to do this:
- Click the Create Form button on your My Forms page.
- Choose Import Form and then Import PDF Form.
- Now, upload your PDF file.
- Add the necessary fields and customize them using the Add Form Element + menu on the left side of the page.
Sometimes, the fields that are automatically created in the PDF file will be in the wrong place. If that happens, you'll have to move and resize the fields. Check out the screencast below to see how to do that:
Once your Smart PDF form is ready, be sure to add a Signature field to your form and enable Jotform Sign in the Settings.
Now you can start prefilling your forms and send them to your customers. This can be done by clicking on the Publish tab and on the Prefill options.
Once the form is completed by your customer, both you and your customer will receive a completed and signed version of your document. We also have a guide on What Is Jotform Prefill that you can check out.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
