Salesforce Integration: Resolving Generic OAuth Error by Installing Jotform App in Connected Apps OAuth Usage

    FYI, there was one additional step I needed to take to successfully integrate the API-Only User:

    I was receiving a generic OAuth Error when I tried to connect. The solution was to:

    1. Navigate to Connected Apps Oauth Usage in Salesforce

    2. Next to the Jotform app, select Install

    This allows you to select specific settings for what users can connect using Oauth. The default settings upon clicking Install worked for me.
