How can I modify my already online entry form for a multi day competition? It shows an error message to participant if they are only clicking certain days to compete and leave others open. How can I fix that?

    Hi Levermann,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked your form and see that you have set day 1 and day 2 as required. I suggest creating a field that asks the user on which day they'd like to participate, then we can use conditional logic to show relevant fields. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element button on the left.
    2. In the Form Elements menu on the left, click on the Multiple Choice field to add it to your form.
    3. Next, click on the Field Label and update it, and do the same thing for the options.

Now, let's create a condition to show the relevant fields conditionally. Let's do it:

    1. Click on the Settings tab in the navigation bar at the top, and click Conditions on the left side panel.
    2. In the middle of the screen, click on the Show/Hide field option.

    3. Create a similar condition as shown below, and click on the Save button.

    4. Repeat the same for Day 2.

Reach out again if you need any help.

    Hi Raymond

Thank you so much for your detailed reply.

    It was great to follow.

I tried a test entry and it does work partially.

It works when I try to only sign up for day 2.

But I still get an error message when I want sign up for day 1 only.

Also, if I choose to participate on day 1 and accidentally click on the feature " day 2 distance", it will not let me "un-select it.

    What can I do?

    Thank you

    Katrin

    Hi Katrin,

It appears that you selected an incorrect Do condition for Day 2. Can you select Show Multiple under the Do condition instead? Here’s how it should look:
