Spreadsheet to Form widget: Change to a Dropdown field

can i change the field to be a drop down instead of an open text field?

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. It's not possible to change the Spreadsheet to Form widget into a Dropdown field. As a workaround, you can use the basic Dropdown element, and then pass it's value to the Spreadsheet to Form widget using condition. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, click on the Settings tab at the top.

2. Select Conditions on the left panel of the screen, then select Update/Calculate Field.

3. Set your rule like what is shown below, then click on the Save button.

You can also set the widget to run in the background so it won't show in your form. Let me show you how:

1. In Form Builder, click on the Spreadsheet to Form widget to highlight it, then click on the Wand icon.

2. Scroll down on the Widget Settings on the right, then set Run In The Background to Yes.

3. Lastly, click on the Update button.
