PPVYO_Survey
I am developing a survey which requires respondents pick and rank their top 3 responses from a list of 6 or 8 choices. Ideally as respondents click on their top choice on the list of options, it's labelled "1", the second is labelled"2" and the 3rd choice labelled "3" Respondents are limited to 3 choices. I cannot find a widget that does this. The Orderable list widget ranks all choices and is cumbersome and freezes if many choices. The visual Multi select widget may work, but seems more cumbersome to use than it has to be.
Is there a widget or template that can do what is described above?

Kris JotForm SupportHi PVYO_Survey,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. For this kind of form requirement, we usually suggest the Visual Multi Select widget. Especially if you're using the Classic form layout, we can inject custom CSS codes to fix the cumbersome issue. Let me show you a demo:
- In Form Builder, click on the Add Element button on the left side.
- Under the Form Elements, go to the Widgets tab. Search for the Visual Multi Select widget and drag and drop it into the form's page.
- Now, in the Widget Settings on the right side, enter all the options inside the box below Select Values.
- Then, make sure to enable Keep Selected Order so you'll know which 3 to use in case users select more than 3. Finally, click on the Update button.
Then, you can add in the label to select the top 3 only. Here's a screencast showing how it works:
Give it a try and let us know if you’ve got other questions.
