How do I add the contents entered in Configurable List Widget to my Original PDF?
-
Christian Enterprise SupportHi Brian,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Currently, the Configurable List widget cannot be mapped directly to an original PDF. This is because the widget stores its data in a dynamic, table-like structure, while the original PDF mapping requires fixed fields with a one-to-one structure. Since the number of rows and entries in a Configurable List can vary per submission, the system cannot reliably match that data into static PDF fields.
As a workaround, you can recreate the structure using regular form fields that can be mapped to your PDF. For example, you can use multiple sets of input fields, such as Item Name, Quantity, and Price for a fixed number of entries, then map each of those fields directly to your PDF. Another option is to use conditional logic to show or hide these sets based on user input so the form still feels dynamic while keeping the structure compatible with PDF mapping.
I understand that it would be a great addition to support direct mapping of dynamic widgets like the Configurable List into original PDFs, especially for use cases that require flexible row entries. While this feature is not available right now, I have forwarded your request to our Developers for review. Whether it gets implemented will depend on their current priorities, feasibility, and overall demand. If there are any updates, we will follow up here and keep you posted.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
