Jotform Tables > Webhook action buttons: Possiblity to make it independent of the webhook in Form Builder

This functionality is good unless you want to be able to choose between two separate endpoints i.e. in the table have two columns with action buttons for both your live and test system endpoints. Disappointingly the action buttons are not independent of the form whichever endpoint you add last becomes the endpoint for all future form submissions!

    Hi Mo,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. From what I understand, you’ve added two buttons in a table to send submissions via Webhook. However, these action buttons are not independent of the form. The form uses a single webhook endpoint, so whichever endpoint is configured last will be used for all future submissions.

To help us investigate this further, could you share a bit more information?

    • Screenshots of the webhook endpoints you’ve set for each action button
    • The form URL you’re working with

Once we have these details, we’ll be able to better understand what’s happening and guide you accordingly.

Our JF order form on submission sends the form data via a webhook to railway.app for processing in our live system. The form ‘Settings\Integrations\Webhooks’ value is set to the live system ‘ We also require the option to send the submission data to our test system after submission for development and error investigation.

The table ‘Modus_Order_Forms’ has links to all our forms (a way of viewing multiple submissions – I don’t think this is a factor). Two action buttons are added to the table using ‘Send Data via Webhook’ i.e. ‘ and ‘

    Observations:
    1.     After creating the webhook action button on the table column the forms ‘Settings\Integrations\Webhooks’ value is changed to this value. Therefore, depending on order of action button creation dictates the webhook at form submission! Form submissions should always go to our ‘Live’ system.
    2.     Whichever action button is pressed ‘Test’ or ‘Live’ it will only be sent to the single webhook value set on the forms ‘Settings\Integrations\Webhooks’ value – not the individually specified ‘Test’ or ‘Live’ webhook.
    3.     The ‘edit action button’ on the table always displays a blank value.

Is it possible to have individually specified ‘Test’ and ‘Live’ webhook action buttons independent of the form submission webhook?

    Hi Mo,

I made a few tests, and it seems that it is currently not possible to have webhook action buttons independent of the form submission webhook. I've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.
