chippewafallspdOn the form titled " Chippewa Falls Police Department Employment Application June 2025", submission 10 is not printing well because the applicant entered quite a bit of information. Is there a solution to print this information without it being in skinny columns?

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Lesley,
Changing sizes and positions of fields is easy in PDF Editor. Let me show you how:
To change field sizes so they are not in skinny columns:
- In PDF Editor, click on the field that you want to align.
- Left-click on the Resize icon, and while holding it, drag the field to resize it so the text area is wider.
To change field positions and improve the layout:- While in PDF Editor, select the field that you want to move.
- Left-click on the field and drag it to the place you want, for example arranging long-text answers in a single wide column instead of multiple narrow ones.

chippewafallspdOk, I was able to find that but it seems that the Employer section is all one section, so I am not able to edit as in the video.

Kyle JotForm SupportHi chippewafallspd,
Let me take a look at this for you. To do that, we’ll need your permission to access your account. Don’t worry, you can turn it off again once we’re done. Let me show you how to do it:
1. In the top-right corner of your Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image icon.
2. Then, in the Dropdown menu that opens, click on Settings.

3. Next, in the panel on the left, click on the Security tab.
4. If you haven’t opened your Security page in a while, it’ll ask you to verify. To do that, click on Send Verification Code.

5. Then, enter the Verification Code you receive in your email.

6. Finally, at the bottom of the page, toggle on Jotform Support Access.
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help. -

Kyle JotForm SupportHi Lesley,
I checked submission 10 and confirmed that the Employer section is a Configurable List widget. Since this widget holds several sub‑fields and long entries, the PDF output places them into narrow columns by default, which makes printing harder to read.
To improve the layout, you can adjust the font size to 6 pt. This helps fit the long data more neatly and makes the printed output look cleaner. Let me show you how:
- In PDF Editor, double-click the Configurable List widget to open the Field Properties menu on the right side of the page.
- Now, in the Question Style tab, change the Font Size to 6pt.
- Then, go to the Answer Style tab and change the Font Size to 6pt as well.
Check out my screencast below to see the result:
If you need even more flexibility, replace the Configurable List with basic fields like Short/Long Text fields to give the data more space.
Try that and reach out again if you need more help.
