Schedule Reminder Emails: Automatically Stop Sending After Form Submission

    Dear Jotform,

I am enjoying using the platform (over MS Forms), but there is an improvement (suggestion) I'd like to ask. Selfish, I know.

After I have created a schedule reminder email for a form, and entered the relevant emails to send the reminders to, the reminders continue to send until the scheduled time, even after a 'respondent' has submitted a form. By the way I like that you can set up multiple reminders (to cater for larger cohorts of more than 10. Although it would be nicer to have a much longer limit :) ).

To avoid complaints from responders I go back into the reminder and delete the relevant email, leaving the emails of those who haven't yet submitted the form. This is a nuisance, and extra work.

I'm sure you know this. But, it would be great if the emails were deleted automatically from the reminder list after form submission.

    Thanks for listening.

    Hi Vince,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Regarding your suggestion about schedule reminder emails continuing to send even after a respondent has submitted the form, currently, Jotform's reminder emails are set up to send according to the schedule you define, such as daily, weekly, or monthly reminders, until the end date you specify. There is no automatic removal of email addresses from the reminder list after a form submission, which means reminders will keep sending to the entered emails unless manually removed.

You can set up multiple reminders for a form, and with a paid account, you can add up to ten recipients per reminder email. However, the system does not currently support automatically deleting emails from the reminder list upon submission to avoid sending further reminders to those who have already responded.

Your feedback is valuable, and this feature suggestion to automatically update the reminder list after submissions is noted for potential future improvements.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Vince,

We value your feedback, and these feature requests are helpful. Many form owners and users will benefit from here. While the features you're looking for aren't available at Jotform right now, we've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers.

Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Hi Kris,

thanks for the reply. It put a smile on my face when I got the auto-reply from your 'colleague' Podo. It's interesting to see how the AI agent works.

Anyway, I wasn't expecting an immediate fix. I already researched that the function I suggested wasn't available. And I understand that demand and viability are factors.

What else can I say. If it makes sense for Jotform to make the change, it would be appreciated.
