    Hello,

I modified the Contact Form and added another widget to list a list of books for Ordering. I tested the form and discovered that the Subscription Section works fine, but the new list of books needs help. I think I'm missing a few steps. Can you help me out?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Shulammite,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Let me help you with setting up the widget for listing books for ordering in your Contact Form.

One suitable widget for listing items like books in a form is the Orderable List widget. This widget allows users to drag and drop options from a predefined list to create their order or ranking, which works well for ordering books.

Here’s how to add and configure the Orderable List widget:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder and click on the Add Form Element button on the left side.
    2. Go to the Widgets tab and search for Orderable List.
    3. Add the widget by clicking it or dragging it into your form.
    4. In the Widget Settings on the right, enter each book title or item you want to list on a new line.
    5. Click Update to save the changes.

You can always reopen the widget settings by clicking the wand icon next to the widget in your form to make changes.

This widget will display the list of books in a way that users can select and order them as needed.

If you want a searchable and sortable table instead, you might consider the Data Grid widget, which allows listing items in a table format with search and sort capabilities.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Shulammite,

I cloned your form titled The Shulammite's BLOG Contact Form, and I can see that you're using the Checklist widget for the field Subscribe to the Shulammite's Book Club. For us to guide you correctly, answer the following:

    • Can you confirm if we're looking at the correct form?
    • Can you share more details about the issue you have with the new subscription?
    • A screen recording would help us see exactly what’s happening. You can use Loom or upload to Google Drive or Dropbox, then send us the link.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Hi Rose,
Many thanks for your response. Please be advised that when I sent the message, the AI chat came in to assist. I followed the instructions to use the ORDERABLE widget instead that worked perfectly well. My question thus far is, why the Subscription widget changed position. I wanted it BELOW the ORDERABLE listing.
Also, when testing the new ORDERABLE I find that items within the list actually moves around. Is there is fix for that?

Lastly, do I need to copy the EMBED code to put into my website where the form resides?

    Many thanks again.

    Hi

I checked your account and it seems like you're referring to the form titled The Shulammite AUTHOR Website Direct Order Form. Your subscription field could have been moved when you added the Orderable List element, but you can actually move the field again to the desired position, to do so, simply click on the field to select it, and then drop it on the desired position.

To keep the conversation organized, I moved your other questions to their own threads, and someone from our Support Team will help you with them here:

Form Embedding: Is it necessary to copy the embed code to place the form on my website?

Let us know if anything else comes up.
