hultonkimColumn 1 is Number of Runs
Column 2 is Cost Per Run
I would like Column Three to multiply the first 2 columns together.
I need to do this for six classes.
I have made an input table and set it to numeric text.
Column 1 will use the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Column 2 will be 15, 25, 40, 50
I tried to make a condition in settings but I couldn't get it to work.
Thanks

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Kimberly,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
To multiply the values in Column 1 (Number of Runs) by Column 2 (Cost Per Run) and display the result in Column 3 (Total Class Cost) in your input table, you need to use Jotform Tables' Advanced Formula feature. Here’s how to do it:
- Ensure that the columns involved in the calculation (Column 1 and Column 2) are set to Number type fields, not just numeric text, to allow proper multiplication.
- In Jotform Tables, add a new column for the result (Total Class Cost) and set its type to Advanced Formula.
- Create a formula in the new column that multiplies the first two columns. For example, if your columns are named "Number of Runs" and "Cost Per Run," the formula would be:
={Number of Runs}*{Cost Per Run} - Save the formula, and the Total Class Cost column will automatically calculate the product for each row.
This setup will work for all six classes you have in your table, calculating the total cost per class by multiplying the runs by the cost per run.
If you need detailed guidance on adding or editing columns and formulas in Jotform Tables, you can refer to the official help articles on Using Advanced Formula in Jotform Tables and How to Add and Organize Columns in Jotform Tables.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
