    Hi CleanwayXtra,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

Let me help you with that:

The Form Calculation widget uses the values assigned to your score fields, so if the total is showing 1729 instead of a maximum of 190, the most likely place to check is the calculation values on the score fields and the widget formula itself.

    1. Open the score fields on your form and check that each option has the correct Calculation Value assigned.
    2. Make sure the values are the intended score numbers, since these values are what the calculation widget adds together.
    3. Open the Form Calculation widget and confirm that the formula is using the correct fields and that the field indicators are set to 0-9 for numbers, not A-Z for text.
    4. Check the widget options and enable Ignore Hidden Fields if any score fields are hidden.
    5. Save the widget changes after updating the formula and field values.

In Form Calculation, form fields are shown in curly brackets, and the calculation only works correctly when the formula is built with the right numeric values and field types. If a field is treated as text instead of a number, the result can become much larger than expected.

Also, if you are using multiple calculation widgets, the total should be summed in one final calculation widget before passing it anywhere else.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi CleanwayXtra,

I don’t know this information and our support team will handle your request.

The knowledge base only confirms that:

    • Form Calculation fields must be set to number mode, not text mode.
    • Calculation Values on selection options are used in the total.
    • If you have multiple calculation widgets, you should sum them in one final calculation widget.
    • You can pass one calculation widget total to a payment field using User Defined Amount.

If the total is still coming out as 1729 instead of 190, the knowledge base does not include a further fix for that issue.

Reach out again if you need any other help.

    Hi CleanwayXtra,

I checked your form 261081668599068 and here's how the total calculation is currently set up:

Form Calculation widget: Incorrect total score Image 1 Screenshot 20

I tried calculating the numbers and it's actually equal to 1729 and not 90. Can you double check the your calculation widget again and make sure the numbers you're adding are all correct.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

    Hi CleanwayXtra,

Can you share the result you get when you use to calculate the fields instead, and what the expected result should be? If you can tell me more about what it should calculate, we can help you with the set up.

Once we hear back from you, we can help you sort this out.
