Hi. I am having an issue that just seems to have started. I have a service request form that gets completed and it asks for images to be uploaded with the form. Things used to work properly. Now, for some reason, it is requiring my client to log into Jotform to download/view the images. They never had to do that before.

    Please help, thank you.

This usually happens when the account setting “Require Log-in to View Uploaded Files” is enabled, which forces anyone opening uploaded images or files to sign in to Jotform.

Here’s how you can turn that off so your clients can view/download images without logging in:

    • Go to your Workspace page and click your Profile Picture/Avatar in the top-right corner.
    • In the menu, click Settings to open your Account Settings page in a new tab.
    • On the left side, go to the Security tab.
    • In the Verification prompt, click Send Verification Code.
    • Check the email linked to your Jotform account, copy the Verification Code, and enter it in the prompt (then click Verify if needed).
    • Under the Privacy section, uncheck the box for Require Log-in to View Uploaded Files.

You can also follow this guide for more details: https://www.jotform.com/help/673-how-to-unrequire-log-in-to-view-uploaded-files/

If that option is grayed out and you can’t uncheck it, your account may have mandatory security settings (like HIPAA or KYC verification), in which case it can’t be disabled; as a workaround, you can still share submissions/files by sharing or inviting people to your Tables/Inbox: https://www.jotform.com/help/1010-how-to-share-your-jotform-tables-and-collaborate/

If you’d like, tell me whether you’re on a HIPAA or any special compliance plan, and I can suggest the best sharing method for your case.
