I need to create a contract with multiple questions for clients to fill out, but I need the pricing info to be filled by me before sending it to them to fill out, as pricing is different for each client. What's the best way to accomplish this with Jotform?

    Hi Cameron,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Use a form or contract template that includes your client questions and agreement fields.
    2. Add a pricing field for the amount you want to enter before sending the form to each client.
    3. Fill in the pricing details for each client, then send the form to them to complete the remaining questions.

You can use this form as a starting point: Service Agreement & Client Information

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Cameron,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. It's easy to manually prepopulate a form before sending it to a user. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Publish in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

    2. Under the Prefill tab on the left side of the screen, click on Manual Prefill.

    3. Then, click on the Add a New Prefill button.

    4. Partially fill out the form, and then click on Create on the top-right side of the page.

    5. On the right side of the generated link, click on the Three Dots icon, and then click on Copy URL or Send Invitation.

    6. Then, in the Send Invitation window, enter the user's email address in the Recipients field.

    7. Finally, enter a message in the Message section, and then click on Send Invitation

If you have an existing document, you can also use Jotform Sign documents. It’s easy to create a sign document with Jotform Sign. Let me show you how:

    1. On your My Sign Documents page, and click on Create Sign Document on the left side of the page.
    2. Click on Upload Document to upload your own document from your device.
    3. Drag and drop your document into the Upload box, or click on Upload Document to select it.
    4. Once you add your document, click on the Create Signable Document button.

Image-5 After you create your document, you’ll see an option asking whether to detect fields automatically. To detect fields automatically:

    1. Click the Detect Fields button in the option that appears below the green navigation bar.
    2. After it matches the suitable elements with the spaces, click on Keep All.
    3. If you want to delete a field, just click on it and then click the Trash Can icon below it.

    1. Click on the Dismiss button in the option that appears below the green navigation bar.
    2. In the Document Elements menu on the left, drag and drop the elements to your document.

Then, you can set the signing order for your Jotform Sign Document. In this way, you'll be able to populate the pricing first, before sending it to your client. Let me show you how:

    1. Open your document in Sign Builder, and then click on Send in the green navigation bar at the top of the page.
    2. Then, toggle on the Signing Order feature.
    3. Click and hold the Six Dots icon, then drag them in the order you want.
    4. Now, click on Send to Sign, and you're done.

Image-8 I also checked your account, and it seems that you're working on the Service Agreement & Client Information form. You can also easily prepopulate it using URL parameters. For example, with the link below:

    https://www.jotform.com/form/261057375559062?number13=200

The Base Service Fee field will be populated automatically with 200. You may also check out our guide on Prepopulating Form Fields via URL Parameters.

Thank you for your very helpful response. I followed your steps and it seems that I'm not allowed to prepopulate input tables. Is there a workaround for this? This is the most necessary field for me to prepopulate, as it's my invoice section where I spell out each line item, cost, and then total/deposit/balance payment due.

    Hi Cameron,

Input Table is not a supported field when creating prefilled links yet. As a workaround to that, you can use Jotform Field Prepopulator to create URL parameters and prefill your forms input table text cells. Here's an example link you can try:

    https://jotform.com/261037498701055?earliestarrival[ampm]=PM&musicstart[ampm]=PM&musicend[ampm]=PM&payment31[0][0]=1&payment31[0][1]=test&payment31[0][2]=2&payment31[0][3]=test&payment31[1][0]=test&payment31[1][1]=test&payment31[1][2]=test&payment31[1][3]=test&time[ampm]=PM

Let me show you how to do it:

    1. In the Field Prepopulator App, click on the Populate Fields button and on the Allow button.
    2. Next, select your form and click on the Continue button.
    3. Start prefilling your fields, and click on the Generate URL button at the top.
    4. Copy the link and that's it.

Thank you, that works. Is there an easy way to access that app from my workspace?

    Hi Cameron,

I believe you are referring to the Field Populator app. You can not access it from your workspace. It can only be accessed through its URL:

    https://prepopulate.jotform.io/

You can bookmark this URL and access it easily whenever it is needed.
