KTesslerI am trying to update the emails in a workflow, but every time I try to make an edit, it automatically reverts to the default. Below is a video showing my experience.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Keith,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Based on the information available, if a workflow is complete, it cannot be edited. The available workaround is to restart the approval flow for the submission by editing the submission and then changing the status from refused to accepted.
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to Workspace and click on Filter at the top.
- Uncheck all assets except Forms, so only forms are shown.
- Select the form, then click Inbox.
- Choose a submission, then click the Three dots icon in the upper right.
- Select Edit, make your changes, and click Submit.
After that, the approval status will be back to In progress, and the approval flow will restart.
There is also a related note that if Restart Workflow on Submission Edit is enabled in Workflow Builder, editing a submission can re-trigger the workflow for that submission.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi Keith,
One of our Support Team members will take it from here to follow up shortly.

Rehan Support Team LeadHi Keith,
Thanks for sharing the video. The content of the email reverts automatically and that is intentional. That is because of the Approval buttons. You can delete most of the content in the email and add your own. But if you remove the buttons than it will break the Workflow. All Approval buttons have unique URLs that are created automatically based on the submission. This is how they stay connected to their own submissions.
Here is a short screencast of a cloned form to show you how you can edit these emails:
Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.
