craddockThe image speaks for itself. Please Select is in the Options tab for the Empty Option.
This is true for all of the forms that I've turned on the Accessibility toggle for.

Podo: Support SpecialistHi April,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
The accessibility warning for the dropdown is shown when the empty option does not have text set. In Form Builder, you can fix this by opening the dropdown field properties and enabling Show Text in Empty Option, then entering text such as Please Select.
Here’s how to do it:
- Open the form in Form Builder and click the dropdown field that shows the warning.
- Go to the field properties panel and find Show Text in Empty Option.
- Enter the text you want to display, such as Please Select.
- Save the form and check whether the accessibility warning is cleared.
The knowledge base also says that when Form Accessibility is enabled, the builder scans the form for accessibility issues and shows warnings until they are fixed. It specifically lists this dropdown warning and says to enable Show Text in Empty Option and add text to it through the dropdown field properties.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

- From Form Builder, select the dropdown field by clicking on it.
- Click the Gear icon next to it.
- From the Dropdown properties panel, open Options tab.
- Disable Show Text in Empty Option and enable it right away.
