    Hi James,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder.
    2. Click on Add Element on the left side of the screen, then go to the Widget tab.
    3. Search for Loom Video Recorder Widget and add it to your form.
    4. Click the Wand Icon to open the widget settings.
    5. Paste the Public App ID from your Loom application into the Public APP ID field.
    6. Click Update Widget to save the changes.

To make the button work, your Loom app must be set up with these details:

    • App type: SDK Standard
    • Allowed domains: jotform.io and jotform.com
    • Value needed in Jotform: the Public App ID

Important: The Loom Video Recorder works only on Chromium-based browsers.

Once that is set, users can click the Record Video button to start recording a Loom video.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi James,

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Go to your Loom Developer page and click Create application.
    2. Enter your application details, then choose SDK Standard for the SDK type.
    3. Add jotform.io and jotform.com under Domains allowing SDK setup.
    4. Click Create application.
    5. Copy the Public App ID from the app you just created.
    6. Paste that Public App ID into the Public APP ID field in the Loom Video Recorder widget settings in Jotform.

Important: The Public App ID is created in Loom, not in Jotform. After you create the Loom application, the ID should be available on that app page.

The Loom Video Recorder works only on Chromium-based browsers.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi James,

I don’t know this information and our support team will handle your request.

The knowledge base I have does not include a confirmed answer about whether Loom’s developer page or SDK setup is still available, or whether the Jotform Loom integration still works with Loom’s current setup.

If you want, you can share a screenshot of what you see in Loom or in the Jotform widget settings, and I can help you check the next step based on that.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Yes please have someone else handle this as the jotform and loom integration is not working/supported anymore.

    Hi James,

The error message you’re seeing, Cannot connect to Loom, usually indicates a temporary connection issue between the Loom Video Recorder widget and Loom’s servers, rather than an issue with your form itself.

We recommend refreshing the form page and trying again,  clearing your browser's cache, or testing the form using a different browser or device. It’s also a good idea to check that your network or firewall settings are not blocking Loom services, and to confirm that you can access your Loom account directly.

If the issue continues, it may be due to a temporary disruption on Loom’s end, so contacting Loom Support as suggested in the error message would be the best next step. Let us know if you still experience the issue after trying these steps.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.
